Masterclass with Italian Concert Pianist & Professor

On 4th February, Silversnow Music School had the privilege and honour of having Italian Concert Pianist and Professor Massimo Folliero conduct a masterclass with us. Despite reaching Singapore only on the day itself with little time for practice, Professor Folliero managed to pull off 2 technically challenging pieces "Chopin - Scherzo No. 2, Op. 31 (Rubinstein)" and "Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue". After which, 3 of the participants played for him pieces they were currently trying to master, so he could give comments to help them improve during their own practice. Overall it was an enjoyable session for both parties, as there was a lot of laughter and interaction during the masterclass. And the participants even learnt how to pronounce some Italian terms at the end of it!

We are glad he managed to find and contact us through Internet all the way from Italy, giving us the opportunity to meet and learn from one another. Interestingly, one of the participants could have met him much earlier if she did not miss the lunchtime concert he performed at, in her university (NTU) a couple of years back. Fate sure has its way of coming back. ;)
