Teacher Gi Sing’s musical journey began at the tender age of six when she first started learning the piano. Demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication, she went on to achieve prestigious certifications, including the DipABRSM (with Distinction) in 2017 and the LRSM (with Distinction) in 2019.

 

Teacher Gi Sing's vocal prowess was nurtured through her involvement in the Raffles Girls' Secondary School choir, where she honed her skills and developed a deep passion for singing. Her journey continued with the Voices of Singapore Ladies Choir and the Voices of Singapore Youth Choir, where she has contributed to numerous performances. These include being part of the competing team which travelled to Europe and won the Grand Prix (overall best choir) at the 16th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music in Bratislava, Slovakia. She has also sung with ensembles such as Voces8, and this extensive experience with choral and ensemble singing informs her vocal pedagogy.

 

Teacher Gi Sing’s formal education in music lays a strong foundation for her teaching career. Her participation and achievements in distinguished choirs reflect her commitment to musical excellence. As a teacher, Gi Sing aims to inspire her students with her profound knowledge and passion for music, encouraging them to fully discover and explore their musical potential and develop a lifelong love for singing.
